Russian Crab Group of Companies will be headed by Sergey Goryachev

From September 3, Sergey Goryachev was appointed the Director General of Russian Crab GC. Yulia Yurova, who previously held this position, will continue the work as a Deputy Director General and a member of the Executive Board.

Sergey Goryachev has extensive experience in senior management positions in major Russian export-oriented companies, including in the agricultural sector. Since 2022, Sergey has been at the head of sugar business in Rusagro GC, where he was in charge of the strategy development and implementation, entry to new export markets, and monitored the progress of investment projects. Prior to joining Rusagro, he was Executive Director of Downstream Division of UC Rusal, where he focused on projects to expand production, improve operational efficiency, and introduction of products to foreign markets, including South-East Asia.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian Crab GC Evgeny Orlov noted, “On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to thank Yulia Borisovna for her contribution to the development of the company, which in just few years has walked its way up from a small business to one of the leaders of the Russian fishing industry. Sergey Goryachev has extensive experience in business management. I expect that under his leadership the company will strengthen its position in the industry, including by expanding the geography of sales and effective implementation of the investment program of Russian Crab GС to build a new fleet”.

Russian Crab GC is the largest in the Far East crab-catching company in terms of volume of quotas and export of crab products. From 2024, the volume of the company’s crab harvesting quotas amounts to more than 18 th. tons. The company owns the largest crab fishing fleet of 40 vessels in the Far East, including new crab catchers built under the investment quota program. Another 14 vessels are being built at the Russian shipyards within the first and second phases of the investment quota program.
