Russian Crab Company Group is recognized as the Exporter of the Year
Russian Crab Company Group, the largest crab harvesting company in the Far East, is recognized as the exporter of the year in the agricultural sector. This was reported by the Russian Export Center (REC), which announced the winners of the All-Russian Contest «Exporter of the Year».
Earlier the company won twice at the regional stage of the contest: in the nomination «Exporter of the Year in the Agroindustrial Complex» and in the nomination «New Geography» for opening new sales markets. According to the figures from organizers, 1.8 thousand Russian companies took part in the contest in 2021.
Russian Crab Company Group is engaged in harvesting of king and premium-quality crab species in the Northwest Pacific Ocean. The company’s own fleet consists of 21 vessels. The company exports products to China, South Korea, Japan, the USA and the EU.
According to the results of 2020 Russian Crab Company Group has significantly expanded its presence in international sales markets. Total export supplies increased fourfold as compared to 2019. The company’s share of crab exports in the key sales areas also increased significantly. Russian Crab Company Group accounts for more than 20% of Russia-wide supplies to China (+ 8.4 p.p. by 2019), and 13% to South Korea (+7.7 p.p. by 2019). In the USA, where the company entered the market with the basic volumes of cooked-frozen products in the second half of the last year, its share in supplies from Russia amounted to 12%.

Russian Crab Company Group produces a premium quality product, this approach strengthens the position of Russian crab in the global market and ensures maximum economic efficiency from sales of this biological resource. Even today, customer requests for 2022 exceed the company’s supply capacity by a factor of two.
The Exporter of the Year award was established by the Government of the Russian Federation and is included in the list of measures of the International Cooperation and Export national project, which was developed on the initiative of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation. The contest is held by the Russian Export Center under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the award is to stimulate the development of foreign trade activities, to recognize the merits of business that achieved the greatest success in promoting Russian products to new sales markets.
