Russian Crab Group of Companies has concluded the contracts for the construction of six crab fishing vessels
Russian Crab Group of Companies has signed the contracts with Okskaya Shipyard JSC for the construction of six crab fishing vessels. ССа 5712LS project vessels designed for catching and transportation of live crab were ordered by the company within the frames of fulfilment of investment commitments following the results of crab auctions in 2023. The amount of contracts totalled 16.5 bln rubles.
The contracts were signed in the presence of the head of the Russian Federal Fisheries Agency, Ilya Shestakov, as part of the ceremonial launching of the crab processor Captain Skovpen.
“The first stage of reform has shown its effectiveness. It’s good that fishermen see positive results and continue to renovate the fleet, and shipbuilders prove a high degree of professionalism,” noted Ilya Shestakov.
“Okskaya Shipyard has proved itself as a reliable and responsible partner. We count on successful continuation of collaboration and obtaining new vessels within contract terms, stage by stage in 2027-2028,” said Alexander Sapozhnikov.
“Okskaya Shipyard has gained sufficient experience in the construction of crab fishing vessels, including in view of sanction restrictions on the supply of equipment and services. This allows us to make new commitments with confidence – both in terms of time and quality,” assured Svetlana Vikulova.
